Nicholas Breeze Wood is an painter, digital artist, musician, writer and practitioner of shamanism. His artistic style is influenced by the art of Tibet, Persian and Indian miniatures, and medieval European art. 
Shamanism, Animism and Tibetan Buddhism greatly influence the themes of his work. Other influences include 19th and early 20th century illustrators, such as Kay Neilson, and fantasy artists such as Roger Dean and Patrick Woodroffe.

​He has had several one-man and joint exhibitions of his work over the years in various galleries, including a one-man show at Worcester Arts Workshop, and a joint exhibition at the Ecology Centre in Covent Garden, London.

Nicholas is the editor of Sacred Hoop Magazine - the leading international magazine about shamanism, published since 1993 - and he has been practicing shamanism for over 30 years, combining it with the more shamanic end of Tibetan Buddhism, and 'medicine' teachings from Native North American peoples.

He is also a craftsman - he makes traditional shamanic ritual objects and is a skilled beadworker. He is a musician, with a great interest in medieval music and musical instruments, and collects world and medieval stringed instruments.

He is the author of four books, ‘Sacred Drums of Siberia', ‘Voices From The Earth', ‘The Book of the Shaman’ and ''The Resplendent Other: a retrospective of paintings and digital art'.

Nicholas lives in Pembrokeshire in West Wales.
